Using the Area Fill, this tool stamps a series of shapes into the document; a shape category, such as stars, musical notes, or suns, is selected from a menu appended to the menu bar. The Sprinkler menu commands also let you create and edit shapes.
Press the Command and Option keys and click or drag to stamp the complete set of shapes in order (i.e., not randomly). Press the Command key alone and click or drag to cycle through a set of shapes in order without stamping them into the document — a good way to get to the shape you want. Press the Option key to repeat with the same shape. Press the Shift key to constrain operation to a horizontal or vertical line, depending on the direction first moved. Choose Brush Mode in the Sprinkler menu and the tool will behave similarly to the Paint Brush. Pressing the Option key while Brush Mode is selected produces an interesting effect.
Double-click to display Custom Plug-in Brushes dialog box, where you can edit the selected shapes.
